On the evening of October 16, the 2024 Tai Chi performance for faculty at Northwest University was successfully held in the comprehensive training hall of the Chang'an campus. Twenty-one teachers from our school participated in the event with great enthusiasm and received an excellence award.
The purpose of this performance was to promote widespread participation in fitness activities, improve the physical fitness and health of faculty, and enrich their cultural lives, while creating a harmonious and progressive campus atmosphere. A total of eight teams participated in the performance, and our school successfully formed a team, hiring a professional coach to provide learning and exchange opportunities for the teachers. The participating teachers began practicing in mid-September, utilizing their spare time after classes and work. Through multiple group practices and collective training sessions, they engaged in mutual learning and steadily improved, ultimately achieving synchronized movements that fully showcased the charm and elegance of Tai Chi.
Participating in this Tai Chi performance not only enhanced our faculty's understanding of Tai Chi and allowed them to learn the 24-form Tai Chi as a new skill, but also improved their physical fitness, promoted communication and interaction, and injected new vitality into our school's cultural and sports activities.
