Special lecture on AI-driven language services in the digital era

On the afternoon of June 19, 2024, the lecture on AI-Driven Language Services in the Digital Era took place at the Second Lecture Hall of the School of Foreign Languages, Northwest University. Hosted by Professor He Hua, Director of the MTI Center at the School of Foreign Languages, the session featured Mr. Fang Jun, a senior career planner from Eagle Eye Translation Service Co., Ltd, as the keynote speaker. All students from the 23rd cohort of professional master's programs participated, and some students from academic master's programs also actively involved.

During the lecture, Mr. Fang delved into the current landscape of the translation industry, trends in language services and the professional outlook for English majors. Emphasizing a hopeful future for language professionals, he discussed the potential efficiencies and challenges that AI might bring to the translation industry.
